A Christmas Carol #2

“You are fettered” said Scrooge, trembling. “Tell me why?”

“I wear the chain I forged in life, “replied the Ghost. “I made it link by link, and yard by yard; I girded it on of my own free will, and of my own free will I wore it.”

Check out what the chains are made of. Not metal, but out of the things that were most important to Marley (the Ghost) before he passed on – money and profit. Notice also that it was not a chain made by anyone else. He says, “I girded it on of my own free will, and of my own free will I wore it.”

The point – WHAT we choose to value in life has endless ramifications, so choose wisely.
