Think Differently
So much of our response to the challenges we face lies in our perception of them. Do we view them as impediments or bridges? Do we continue spinning our wheels trying to find a way around the obstacle, or looking for a way through the challenges and over them?
Why is this so important? Because our perceptions determine our reality.
We get to choose the way we see the world around us. That, my friends, is an empowering thought.
If we want to change the way we behave and act amid challenging circumstances, we must first attack the way we think. For what we think becomes what we expect. And our expectations determine our perceptions.
Think for a moment about that big obstacle or task you have in front of you this week:
What do you expect to happen? Are you imagining a worst case scenario?
How can you reframe that obstacle or task into an experience that can grow and expand your thinking?
What can you do to maintain traction and avoid distraction as you work through that scenario to ensure that desired growth?
If we want to learn to respond to adversity differently, we have to first learn to think differently. Remember: garbage in, garbage out. The opposite is even more true!
Growth is a choice. Be empowered to make the right one today!
